After I met with Leah and Andy last year to discuss the possibility of photographing their May 1 wedding, my sister told me that Andy is our third cousin. Isn’t that hilarious?! We had no idea! Leah and Andy were both so sweet, and I was so privileged to be able to photograph their big day. After all, they’re family! Leah was such a classy bride. The wedding party was great, and the ring bearer and flower girl were very entertaining on the dance floor. Here are some of my favorites from the day.
Emily was all glitz and glam during her senior photo session this past week. This girl made my job so easy. A natural in front of the camera, Emily was all for the fun, artsy shots – which I love! We drove around downtown Akron hopping in and out of the car for unique shots. When we spotted the fire escape on the old building, Emily said, “Let’s take photos there,” and then when she saw the ladder at the bottom of the escape, “I think I can climb that!” What a doll!
Last Friday Brad and I met with Rebecca and Ryan in Westlake for an engagement photo session. I love when Brad can make it to the photo jobs – he has a great eye for unique shots! I always tell couples to be lovey-dovey and pretend like I’m not even there during engagement photo sessions. As hard as that is, Rebecca and Ryan did a great job acting natural while we both snapped away, and I really like what we came out with. I am super excited about photographing their wedding this August – the reception at Stan Hywet will be beautiful!
