God bless Erin and Chris for posing in the rain! Last weekend this couple from North Carolina came all the way to Ohio so that I could photograph their wedding (or maybe it had something to do with the bride’s family living in Ohio…either way, it was still cool!). Even though it rained all morning and afternoon, Erin and Chris still agreed to step outside with an umbrella for some fun shots. When the rain stopped, I was able to take some more pictures with their bridal party at a nearby gazebo – so much fun! Check out some of my favorites from the day.
Brad and I took some photos last night of my brother’s band, Owlbear, playing at Musica in downtown Akron. Although I can’t really understand the lyrics (I know I sound so old when I say that!), their music is pretty good. Check out their myspace page at www.myspace.com/owlbearmusic . I wouldn’t normally like pictures that are blurred, but I think these photos have an artsy feel, and I like them. It kind of looks like I photoshopped a lot to get that…retro look, or whatever you call it, but the images are just a result of the guys’ movements on the stage and the weird red lighting. Anyway, way to go, Owlbear!!!
My brother, Brian is a guitarist. Like the bandana?
Steve on the drums…
Craig plays the guitar and sings…he’s the one who always tells me when the guys have a gig. Brian always forgets! Thanks, Craig.
Corey plays bass…
Brad got this picture of Brian. Pretty cool!
See what I mean about the weird red lighting…retro look?
Last year my brother referred his friends Eric and Stephanie to me to photograph their wedding. I’m so glad he did, because these two were so enjoyable to photograph. Stephanie was all smiles last Saturday, and she looked beautiful in her dress. We didn’t get any outdoor photos because of the rain (it has been quite a wet summer!), but I think the stained glass windows in the church made an elegant backdrop for some classy indoor photos. Eric and Stephanie, thanks for allowing me to be part of your day. You two are adorable!
