Thank you for visiting Megan Moore Photography. At this time I am not taking new clients. Friends and family may contact me at my personal email account to schedule photo sessions. Many blessings to you all.
Hi Friends! I’m back! I’ve taken a little break from work over the past few months because my husband has finished his residency (more family time!), and because I’m pregnant with number 2, so I’ve been trying to take it easy. Also, since we attend church on Saturdays now, I’m less enthusiastic about doing Saturday weddings and thinking about transitioning more into other types of photography – infants, children, families, high school seniors, etc. Also I’m toying with the idea of setting up a portrait studio in my basement, specifically for infant photography. Of course I still like the natural looking, non-backdrop photos the best, but it would be nice to have the option of more boutique-looking photos for little ones, especially during the winter months when lots of natural light is hard to come by.
Anyway, I recently shot a couple family sessions for two of my friends and wanted to post some of their pictures. First is Alli and Talon and their two beautiful girls. Alli looks amazing for having just given birth 6 days before these photos were taken. You go, girl! 🙂
Next are my friends Adam and Rosella and their little pumpkin, Olivia. What was supposed to be a rainy day turned out to be perfect for outdoor photos. Aren’t they a beautiful family?!
My relatives really care that we all know our relational status with one another. When people say that someone is their second cousin, I always wonder if that is accurate. My cousin’s son is my first cousin once removed. My daughter and my cousin’s son are second cousins. You’re welcome. 🙂
I’m so glad that my FAMILY – my cousin Tamara, her husband, and their adorable son, Simon – are back in Ohio! Yes, they are still a couple hours away, but we hardly ever got to see them when they lived in Chicago, and now they are just a short distance from my sister. I got to take some photos of Simon and his parents last week. Here are some of my favorites.
Last weekend my cousin Eric married his longtime girlfriend, Jess, in Duck, North Carolina. During their nontraditional wedding (Jess wore an adorable GREEN dress – how fun!), the couple and their bridal party made the most of the cool weather – who would have thought that most the guests would be wearing jackets and blankets during a beach wedding?! Despite the wind, everyone smiled and really seemed to enjoy the day – I know I did. Jess did an amazing job with all the decorations – the pinwheels were a great touch! As for Eric’s brother, Keith – best best man speech ever! I love you guys!
Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing my beautiful newborn nephews, Kyle and Kurtis. In between photos when the twins had a short period of fussiness, my husband, Brad, and I both took a baby, swaddled, and rocked. Ah, the smell of a newborn. So sweet. Brad fell asleep holding Kyle – or maybe it was Kurtis. Gosh, even though they are not identical, I still could never remember which one I was holding! Our two year old Eleanor insists that Kurtis come over and sleep in her crib, and “Kyle sleep in mommy’s bed.” We hope to spend a lot of time with these babies and their big brothers, Anthony and Alex. And to my sister-in-law and her husband – way to go, you two! We love all of you!
Back to weddings! Kate and Tod’s was my first of 2013, and I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple. Their ceremony in Hudson and reception at Glenmoore Country Club were beautiful. Kate and Tod’s families were so kind, and all Kate’s nieces and Tod’s nephew made for super cute attendants. Congratulations you two!
Last weekend my family and I flew south for my cousin’s wedding. My 22 month old daughter, Eleanor, was the flower girl, and her second cousin, 11 month old Cooper, was the ring bearer in Ashley and Kyle’s gorgeous seaside wedding in Marco Island, Florida. Ashley was a STUNNING bride! The weather was glorious (even with a little bit of rain during the reception). And I have to say, despite Eleanor stopping a few times to add sand to her flower girl basket when she was supposed to be dropping petals, she was one cute flower girl!
Anyway, I’ve only started going through all the pictures, but I know that my family (and maybe others) might like to see some of these.
Kyle, welcome to the family!
Much love to you all!
